APASA offers various membership categories to cater to different levels of expertise and involvement in the artisan industry. Whether you’re a student, a qualified artisan, or a corporate supporter, we have a membership tier that’s right for you.
Student Membership (Aspiring Artisans)
Fee: Low-cost or free (sponsored by industry partners or government grants).
Eligibility:
- Individuals currently enrolled in technical colleges, TVET institutions, or apprenticeship programs or learners on trade related learnerships and skills programmes.

Associate Membership (Unqualified or Semi-Skilled Artisans)
Fee: R500 annually
Eligibility:
- Artisans with work experience but without formal trade certification.
- Individuals in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.

- Assistance with ARPL (Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning) applications.
- Support in registering for trade tests and meeting qualification requirements.

Professional Membership (Qualified Artisans)
Fee: R750 annually, with payment plans available.

- Artisans with 10+ years of experience.
- Recognized specialists in their trade.
