Purpose
Purpose for Establishing APASA (Association of Professional Artisans of South Africa):
1. Professional Representation:
To provide a unified voice for qualified artisans in South Africa, advocating for their professional interests and promoting the recognition and value of their skills.
2. Support and Development:
To support artisans through career development opportunities, training, mentorship programs, and continuous professional development to enhance their skills and career prospects.
3. Address Challenges:
To address key challenges faced by artisans, such as unfair treatment, lack of resources, and barriers to opportunities, by offering legal support, networking platforms, and policy advocacy.
4. Standardization and Quality Assurance:
To uphold the highest standards of professionalism and quality in the artisan trades by promoting adherence to industry standards, ethical practices, and collaboration with regulatory bodies.
5. Global Connectivity:
To create international partnerships and collaborations with artisan associations worldwide, fostering knowledge exchange, innovation, and global opportunities for South African artisans.
