Artisan jobs portal

A register of verified tradespeople, and a direct line between the artisans on it and the employers who need them.

Your evidence, checked once and held on the record

Most artisans lose work to paperwork rather than to skill. The register exists so that a certificate is verified a single time and then trusted by every employer that asks.

  1. 01

    Register and be verified

Your trade certificate, workplace record and identity are checked once, at registration. Employers are told what has been verified and by whom, so your evidence does not have to be re-argued at every interview.

  2. 02

    Keep your record current

Log continuing development, new tickets and the plant you have worked on. A current record is what moves a name up the list when a request comes in.

  3. 03

    Be put forward

When an affiliated employer asks for a trade in a province, the office draws from the register and sends a shortlist. There is no charge to the member for being put forward.

Ask the association before you advertise

Affiliated employers can put a request to the office and receive a shortlist drawn from the register, at no placement fee.

Tell us what you need

Trade, level, province, start date and whether the post is permanent, contract or a shutdown. A short brief is enough to start.

Receive a verified shortlist

Candidates come with the designation they hold, the qualification behind it, and the years of practice on record. Nothing is put forward that the office has not seen evidence for.

Assess before you appoint

Where you want more than paperwork, the association arranges a pre-employment trade assessment and issues a written outcome you can keep on file.

Trades carried on the register

Requests are matched by trade and by province. If a trade is not listed, write to the office: the schedule is extended as members qualify.

  • Boilermaker
  • Bricklayer
  • Carpenter and Joiner
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Electrician
  • Fitter and Turner
  • Instrumentation Mechanician
  • Millwright
  • Motor Mechanic
  • Plumber
  • Refrigeration Mechanic
  • Rigger
  • Sheet Metal Worker

The portal is operated by the office rather than as a public advertising board. That is deliberate: every candidate put forward has been verified, and no member is asked to pay to be considered for work.
